High Impact
This charity provides outstanding impact per dollar. Your funds are put to work with the intention to help the highest amount of people possible.
As Muslims we firmly believe that our destiny is preordained, and there is no knowing if we will live to see tomorrow.
But as humans, we inherently worry about everything tomorrow may bring with it.
When you go to bed tonight, a couple hundred could-bes, would-bes and should-bes might make it hard for you to fall asleep.
But here’s one thought that will NOT keep you up at night:
Will I have food to feed myself and my family tomorrow, or will we starve?
Too often, we underestimate the blessing of a guaranteed meal.
Food insecurity creates a cycle of poverty
With all of a family’s resources dedicated to search for food, education and health are unwantedly shoved aside. What this means, then—for future generations—is poverty and more food insecurity. The consequence of a diet poor in essential nutrients casts a shadow over the future of the entire country.
Your gift of a food basket can guarantee meals to Yemeni families for the entire month, allowing them to invest in themselves for a better tomorrow.
Progress cannot be made overnight
The women and children of Yemen have been sleeping on empty stomachs for far too long; their physical and cognitive functioning is severely impaired. 1.2 million pregnant or nursing women and 2.3 million children under 5 are acutely malnutritioned. For them to bounce back from such devastating and dangerous levels of hunger, they need more than just their next meal.
By donating a food basket, you can help us ensure that these widows, children, and families are sufficiently nourished throughout the year—so they can finally break free from the shackles of hunger.
Where there is conflict, there will be hunger
Did you know only 15 percent of children eat the minimum acceptable diet needed for survival and development? While peace is the ultimate solution, until it is fully restored, conflict-stricken Yemen will continue to need our food baskets.
ii) For your OWN sake
One can’t get enough of Allah’s pleasure
Just imagine a child raising her hands to the skies, making dua for YOU, because you answered her cries of hunger.
The reward of feeding the poor is immense, and the Qur’an tells us that the righteous “give food, out of love for Him, to the poor and the orphan and the captive, [saying] “We feed you, for Allah’s pleasure only—We desire from you neither reward nor thanks.” [76:5-12].
What’s better than being THE BEST?
Just like we make our homes look beautiful by elegantly accessorizing them, we should also beautify our faith and its foundation by actively engaging in noble acts.
Abdullah bin Amr (ra) said, ’A man asked the Prophet, “What Islamic traits are the best?” The Prophet said, ”FEED THE PEOPLE, and greet those whom you know and those whom you do not know”’. [Bukhari]
On one occasion our Prophet (saw) said: ‘The best of you are THOSE WHO FEED OTHERS’. [Ahmad]
For just $50 per month, you can be among THE BEST! Need more be said?
ABOUT GOOD DEED CHARITY
Good Deed Charity was co-founded by Dr Mohammed Alazani, father of 6, and a distinguished cardiovascular surgeon in Germany. Dr. Mohammed is originally from Yemen, and he took it upon himself to help the people of his country.
At first alone, then with a group of his medical colleagues. In 2019, he realized he could do much more with a registered charity and local office in Yemen and established Good Deed Charity.
By funding the administrative costs associated with running a charity through his own pockets and with the help of his colleagues, Good Deed Charity has remained a 100% Donation Policy charity, putting 100% of your donations to work on the ground.
Today, Good Deed Charity is one of only 2 charities in Europe that has a registered office in Yemen.
For this reason, we have a dedicated delivery team that knows how to navigate the country in order to facilitate local relief operations in Yemen on behalf of other big charities such as:
We are also registered as a nonprofit organization in the United Kingdom (tax-deductible) exclusively focused on supporting the needy in Yemen.
Having a local office in Yemen allows us to provide our supporters with full transparency through videos and photos highlighting the direct impact of your donations on an on-going basis. At the same time, none of your donations are being redirected towards middlemen to provide any services.
About Madinah
To date, we have helped raise more than $10 million to support many projects and initiatives, both local and global. This includes building masajid, supporting education programs and Islamic centres, and assisting in relief efforts to help provide relief to thousands of families surviving through crises across the world.
Our Partners
The problem in Yemen is devastating – and we know that the only way we’ll be able to efficiently and effectively deliver the help they need is through working with a series of partners. And not just any partners – but the best of the best. Our partners have been on the ground in Yemen for several years and understand the problem first-hand.
We have worked with Charity Right, Mercy Bakery, Pious Projects, Crisis Aid, Heroic Hearts, Slough Islamic Trust, and Imdad Relief Foundation to provide life-saving aid to the people in Yemen.
