FRUITFUL TREES

“Dada, why can’t you do something more meaningful? I find it embarrassing when I have to tell my friends my father’s a farmer and all he does is plant trees and harvest fruits!”

“There there son! I don’t just plant seeds and pluck fruits. Planting the seeds is only the beginning of a long, fruitful journey ahead.”

“I don’t understand,” he inquired.

“Let me explain. When the trees I plant grow up, they bear fruits that can be enjoyed by people for many, many, many years. You see, just a single tree can produce hundreds of fruits, and each fruit contains multiple seeds, which leads to the growth of more trees.”

“So you mean the benefits of planting just one tree keep on multiplying?” he said, his eyes gleaming with interest.

“Exactly! But that’s not all; they will continue to multiply even after I’m gone!”

“Woah!” he contemplated as he popped a freshly plucked cherry in his mouth.

HAVE YOU PLANTED YOUR TREE?

We know Rasullulah SAW did!

He planted these trees over 1400 years ago by spending in the way of Allah.

And he advised his ummah to do the same. He said: “When a man dies, his deeds come to an end except for three things: Sadaqah Jariyah (ceaseless charity); a knowledge which is beneficial, or a virtuous descendant who prays for him (for the deceased).” (Muslim).

Follow in His footsteps by contributing towards the construction of our Masjid in Yemen.

Your donation will not only bring lasting benefits to hundreds of Yemenis for many, many, many years but will inspire others to follow suit, creating a chain of deeds that multiplies and contributes towards the well-being of the community.

In return, Allah will reward you with multiplied, ongoing rewards (ceaseless charity), just like the continuous yield of a fruitful tree.

WHY DOES YEMEN NEED A MASJID?

Aside from the devastating loss of their loved ones, leaving them traumatized for life and shattering all hope for the future, the war has also robbed the Yemenis of a sanctuary they can call a Masjid.

According to reports, more than a thousand masjids suffered either partial or complete destruction as a result of the bombings.

Hence:

They lack a safe space to offer obligatory congregational prayers.

There is no place to learn to read and understand the Quran.

They have nowhere to seek guidance and advice that aligns with the teachings of Islam.

Children have no access to therapy to help them recover from their trauma.

DID YOU KNOW?

✅ Yemen held such a special place in the Prophet SAW’s heart that Ibn Umar narrated: “I have not seen the Messenger of Allah SAW touching anything of the House (the Ka’bah) except the two Yemeni corners.”

✅ According to Rasulullah SAW, the Yemenis were the finest people on Earth, possessing the most tender minds and compassionate hearts.

✅ The people of Yemen were the first people to respond to the call for Hajj.

✅ The first to drink from the fountain of al-Kawthar on the Day of Judgement will be the people of Yemen.

✅ Yemen was the first country to provide the Kiswa for the Kaaba.

Throughout history, imams, contributors to our deen, to our heritage of Islam and the vast library of Islamic knowledge, were from Yemen.

YET, today the best of people, the most resembling people to the Sahaba of the Prophet SAW are struggling!

But we? We remain silent–as if we never heard their voices.

What will we tell our Messenger SAW when He questions our ignorance in the hereafter?

THE MORE THAT YOU DELAY, THE GREATER THE RISK TO THE LIVES OF ORPHANS…

Muslim parents have the responsibility to raise their children as good Muslims instilling in them a strong sense of right and wrong – this begins at home.

Children also often model their parents’ actions, and when their behavior aligns with Islamic teachings, they are greatly influenced to become pious Muslims as they mature.

But what happens if a child has no home?

What happens if he has no parents?

And to top it all…

What if there is no Masjid to embrace them either?

Where are they supposed to go to learn and socialize?

When there are no Masjids to welcome orphans, they will find other places to go to and other company to spend their time with.

These alternatives can easily become sources of misguidance.

Children thrive where they feel a sense of belonging. If we want our orphans to feel they belong in the Muslim community, they must have a Masjid to go to where they can feel welcomed.

In our pursuit to build such a Masjid, we earnestly seek your financial support.

The future of the orphans of Yemen is in your hands.

Will you make it, or break it?

This is the progress we’ve made…

Alhumdulillah, by the grace of Allah SWT and your generous contributions, we have successfully completed the construction of the masjid’s outer structure.

But what good is a beautifully designed book cover if the book’s only filled with blank pages?

The true essence of a masjid lies in its interior spaces where people can come together to pray, seek guidance and strengthen their faith.

For the people of Yemen to truly benefit from the outer structure that has been built…

And for the outer structure to be able to fully fulfill its role as a sacred space for worship

We are in need of your invaluable support once again.

But you must hurry!

We must raise sufficient funds to fill the blank pages of our book within the next 30 days so that:

✅ The outer structure of the masjid is not left devoid of its true purpose.

✅ The people of Yemen have SOMEWHERE safe to run to amidst the chaos brought about by the war.

✅ The orphans in Yemen who may be misguided, or at risk of misguidance, can find immediate guidance and support.

✅ You can earn Sadaqah Jariyah without delay. Who knows if we’ll see tomorrow?

✅ You and the worshippers of the mosque can earn Allah’s pleasure. Can there be anything more magnificent than that?

If only 1000 generous donors contributed $25, we would be able to complete the prayer area and accommodate 1,000 people for prayers!

Will you be among those blessed 1000?
