THE BATTLE FOR SURVIVAL

Yemen is starving.

I’m aware; it’s all over the news!

Of course, but did you also happen to know that:

✔ Even as a child lays dying, traditional remedies are the only relief his parents can provide because healthcare remains out of reach, financially and geographically.

✔ Healthcare has taken a backseat as parents prioritize using whatever little resources they possess to provide nourishment for their children to ensure their basic survival.

✔ Sure, providing hot meals and food packs will temporarily ease hunger, but what about the 2.2 million children suffering from acute malnutrition? This calls for sustained treatment and proper nutrition.

In order to prevent unnecessary loss of lives, healthcare must be prioritized just as much as food–if not more.

However, given the persistent barrier of limited resources, it can only mean one of two things:

Preventable deaths will continue haunting the lives of the Yemenis.

OR

You and I will help them fight the odds so that everybody gets a fair chance at life.

Ask yourself: What’s it going to be?

THE LIVES YOU’VE SAVED…

Meet Baby Omar,

At 10 months old, he was suffering from multiple congenital anomalies (health issues from the time of birth). As a result, he could not lead a healthy, normal life. He needed urgent brain surgery: estimated at $9500, and follow-up care: estimated at $4580.

But his parents were helpless in the face of poverty. With a daily income of $1, what could they have possibly done?

Meet Sister Mona,

She was hospitalized for a heart surgery but suffered a stroke immediately following the procedure. This demanded ongoing treatments and follow-up surgeries.

But with her husband earning only $30-$60 per month, how could he have possibly afforded the life-saving medical care his wife needed?

Meet Abbas Mohammad,

The sole breadwinner of his family, who was left hospitalized after suffering a stroke. He underwent emergency brain surgery, and his family tried to cover the costs by giving up on their own basic needs; of course, it couldn’t possibly be enough.

But you decided to join our cause…

And, Alhumdulillah, together we answered their call for care, making the impossible possible.

Because of your kindness and our dedication Omar’s parents could breathe again, Mona’s children were spared the pain of losing the love and warmth of their mother, and Abbas’s family found relief from sleepless nights on empty stomachs.

Yet, there’s a crucial aspect we need to reflect upon:

These stories aren’t isolated incidents; they represent a larger crisis affecting countless other individuals in Yemen.

It’s not just about those we’ve reached, but the hundreds of thousands who remain in need.

For every Abbas Mohammad, there are many more facing similar battles.

Can they count on your support?

LIFELINE FOR LASTING CHANGE

Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: “Whoever relieves a believer’s distress from the distressful aspects of this world, Allah will rescue him from the difficulties of the Hereafter.” (Sahih Muslim, 32/6250)

We believe that every individual deserves access to quality healthcare, regardless of their financial circumstances. Our mission is to provide a beacon of hope for families facing medical challenges, just like Omar and Mona’s, and to create a lasting impact.

Through your support today, we aim to alleviate the suffering of 6,000-7,000 families living within a 1-hour radius in the Anss region of Yemen.

HOW YOU CAN HELP…

As part of our efforts to build and run this medical clinic, we aim to bring together 500 compassionate individuals, each contributing $100, to achieve the following milestones:

✔ Equip the medical clinic with necessary medical equipment such as diagnostics and surgical tools

✔ Complete necessary renovations to make the clinic fully operational

✔ Pay a month’s salary to the skilled medical team

✔ Stock shelves with life-saving drugs and medicines

THANK YOU

We would like to thank you for your contributions towards the cases of Baby Omar, Sister Mona and Abbas Mohammad.

If it hadn’t been for you, they might not have made it through.

As opportunity presented itself, you took advantage of it, bringing happiness to their loved ones in this world, and securing hassanat for yourself.

IN CASE YOU MISSED OUT…

You still have a chance to be someone’s miracle…

And you still have a chance to receive relief from Allah for your worldly troubles, as well as any challenges you may face on The Final Day.

Because there are still hundreds of thousands of individuals in Yemen in dire need of medical help which they can access through the medical clinic YOU can help us build.

When it comes to human lives, every passing second matters.

So extend your support while their heart’s still beating.

ABOUT GDC

Good Deed Charity was founded by Dr Mohammed Alazani, father of 6, and a distinguished cardiology surgeon in Germany. Dr. Mohamed is originally from Yemen, and he took it upon himself to help the people of his country. At first alone, then with a group of his medical colleagues. In 2019, he realized he could do much more with a registered charity and local office in Yemen and established Good Deed Charity.

Today, Good Deed Charity is one of only 2 charities in Europe that has a registered office in Yemen.

For this reason, we have a dedicated delivery team that knows how to navigate the country in order to facilitate local relief operations in Yemen on behalf of other big charities such as:

We are also registered as a nonprofit organization in the United Kingdom and Germany, exclusively focused on supporting the needy in Yemen.

Having a local office in Yemen allows us to provide our supporters with full transparency through videos and photos highlighting the direct impact of your donations on an on-going basis.
