Let’s end 2025 with a blessing for Yemen. Help keep all 5 community bakeries running and continue nourishing thousands every day.
For the last 6 years, our teams at GDC have been working tirelessly to deliver aid to Yemen’s most vulnerable people. Alhamdulillah, we now have 5 fully functioning community bakeries operating across Yemen — providing over 24,000 fresh, warm, ready-to-eat loaves of bread every single day to children, widows, and displaced families who would otherwise go hungry.
Through these bakeries, we’re fighting starvation, restoring dignity, supporting local workers, and keeping hope alive in communities shattered by conflict and economic collapse. These bakeries are not just buildings — they are lifelines.
But right now, those lifelines are under threat.
Due to severe inflation, soaring flour and fuel costs, and ongoing instability, the daily operational expenses required to keep these bakeries running have increased dramatically. Without urgent support, we risk having to slow or even halt production — leaving thousands without bread overnight.
And that’s why we are calling on kind and generous people like you to join our mission.
All we need are 150 supporters to give $100 each, and together we can secure the resources required to keep the ovens burning and families fed through the difficult winter months ahead.
This GivingTuesday, will you help sustain these 5 lifesaving bakeries and protect thousands from going hungry?
Yemeni bread or Kudam, has been a staple of the country’s diet for centuries. However, with skyrocketing food costs, something as simple and essential as bread has become a luxury for 60% of the population. With empty stomachs and a critical lack of nutrition, they remain trapped in a cycle of poverty, hunger, and despair.
Providing fresh, ready-to-eat bread is one of the most effective ways to help those in need in Yemen because:
❤ Maximize your impact and join thousands of others to create a ripple effect of positive change.
❤❤ Ensure that the people of Yemen receive the help they need—right when it’s most needed.
❤❤❤ Be part of something bigger than yourself. As millions of people around the world come together to donate on this special day, your support for Yemen will stand alongside thousands of other acts of generosity, making a powerful collective impact.
Over the years, Good Deed Charity has transformed countless lives, including that of Yusef—a young boy whose fragile body told a story of severe malnutrition and unimaginable pain. His bones protruded through his skin, and doctors gave his family the devastating news that he had only a year to live.
Yusef’s pain was unbearable, causing him to cry and scream in agony—and his worry for the wellbeing of his family would make it worse. When we first met him, he broke down in tears, sharing his fears and struggles with us.
But because of you—the compassionate supporters who believe in our mission—Yusef’s story didn’t end there. Your donations turned despair into hope, saving not just his life but also his future. With proper aid, Yusef and his family have been lifted out of constant physical and psychological stress. They can now focus on rebuilding their lives with dignity and hope.
Today, Yusef is thriving. He has fully recovered, attends school, and is chasing dreams that once seemed impossible.
In just a few years, your support made this transformation possible:
And Yusef’s story is just one of many.
